Europe 2011

Greetings from Toronto Pearson International Airport – home of the steel and glass generic airport – I suspect I’ll see several of these along the way – but maybe I’ll be pleasantly suprised.

The flight from Houston was delayed 30 minutes due to a snow storm up here – nothing like coming out of the clouds to a white “floor” below.  Flight #1 was an Air Canada Jazz Canadair (Bombardier) Regional Jet (CRJ-705) – bigger than the RJs that UnitedContinental flies, but still small (I couldn’t stand fully upright in the aisleways and the restrooms made it “interesting” – no room to turn…).  Uneventful flight – hard to believe that I can be in Houston and 2 ¹/₂ hours later I’m in Canada – then (after a break) only 8 hours to get to München!

Hopefully I will sleep on the plane after not getting much sleep last night due to a cat issue at home (she’s fine now – the 5:30am trip to the Vet ER wasn’t fun, though).

I’m here, checked in, and waiting on a delayed plane from Toronto. I’ve already found the first thing I forgot – the cable to connect my phone to the computer (to use the phone as my internet connection – and my computer does not have bluetooth). Time to go shopping…
